Refugees International wins big on Celebrity Apprentice

Champion poker player Annie Duke raised $700,000 for Refugees International's life-saving advocacy on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice.  Although she took second place in the contest, her supporters launched a grassroots internet campaign to raise the $250,000 that Refugees International would have received from developer Donald Trump, the host of the show, had she won.  (In 2007, Refugees International came in second in Ploughshares Fund's Peace Primary, raising over $48,000 for its work on behalf of refugees and conflict prevention worldwide.)
