New Center for International Policy report on Pakistan

The Center for International Policy has published a Ploughshares-funded expert study titled, “Pakistan: The State of the Union” on the Pakistan’s ethnic minorities and government.  Author Selig S. Harrison discusses whether the multi-ethnic Pakistan federation, with growing tensions between its dominant Punjabi majority and increasingly disaffected ethnic minorities, can survive in its present form without basic political and economic reforms.  Harrison continues with an evaluation of the effects of U.S. policy on ethnic conflicts in Pakistan.
