Russian foreign minister responds to FAS, NRDC study

Russia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Ryabkov, gave a lengthy reaction at a press conference to the joint report from the Federation of American Scientists and Natural Resources Defense Council, both Ploughshares grantees, From Counterforce to Minimal Deterrence.  Hans Kristensen of FAS commended Ryabkov for correctly describing the report as “an analysis of the hypothetical consequences of the use of nuclear weapons against large industrial and infrastructure facilities, as well as of what the losses might be in the case of the use of warheads of varying yield.”
