Jeff Skoll joins Ploughshares Fund advisory board

Jeff Skoll, founder and chairman of the Skoll Foundation and Participant Media, accepted Ploughshares Fund's invitation to join its advisory board, the same day that he launched the Skoll Urgent Threats Fund, a new organization that will identify and support innovative high-impact initiatives to combat nuclear proliferation, climate change, water scarcity, pandemics and Middle East conflict.  Skoll appointed Google.org's Chief Philanthropic Evangelist Dr. Larry Brilliant to head the Urgent Threats Fund.
