Building stability in India-Pakistan relations

Peace between and stability in India-Pakistan relations is essential for the well being of South Asia, agreed political leaders from India and Pakistan at a comprehensive two-day dialogue in Bangkok, Thailand on a range of issues impacting on the relationship. Terrorism, Jammu and Kashmir, hydro-resources, Afghanistan and nuclear stability were some of the issues discussed.  Participating on the Indian side was Maj. Gen. (retd.) Dipankar Banerjee, director of the Ploughshares-funded Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies, and Samina Ahmed, the South Asia Project Director at the International Crisis Group.
