Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

The Information We Collect:
On some pages, you can request information, register to receive regular information updates and make donations. The types of personal information collected at these pages are name, address, email address, telephone number and, for donations, credit or debit card information.

On some pages, you can submit information about other people. For example, if you make a gift in honor of another person and want us to notify that person, you will need to submit the recipient's address or email address.

We note non-identifying information such as time of day, browser type, and IP address with each visit to our website.

The Way We Use Information:

We use the information you provide about yourself when requesting information or making a donation to fulfill that request or complete the transaction. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that transaction.

We use the information you provide about someone else when making an honorary gift only to notify that person. If you provide names and/or email addresses of others for the purpose of forwarding information you receive from Ploughshares Fund, we do not retain that information in our database, use it to contact that person again or share it with outside parties.  If that person wants to continue to receive our information, he or she must register on our website.

You may stop receiving email messages from us at any time by following the automated unsubscribe procedures included in every message, or by notifying our office.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website. For example, we can see how many individuals visited a certain area of our website, but not the identity of those individuals, and may use that information to enhance or remove that portion of the site.

Finally, we never share or sell the personally identifiable information provided to us online to any third party.

Our Commitment To Data Security:

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
