Today, the State Department annouced the new members of the International Security Advisory Board (ISAB). Among them was our own Joe Cirincione.
The occasion was the first meeting of the group, chaired by Dr. William Perry [2]. The International Security Advisory Board is composed of independent national security experts with scientific, military, diplomatic and political backgrounds who serve to provide the State Department with independent advice on all aspects of arms control, disarmament, international security and related aspects of public diplomacy. The group will provide their recommendations directly to Secretary Clinton.
Joe will serve on the board wtih security experts from across the poitical spectrum, including Dr. Bruce Blair [3], Charles B. Curtis [4], Ambassador Robert Gallucci [5], and Lt. Gen Brent Snowcroft [6].
