It takes passion, and a lot of coffee, to get up for an early morning flight from Washington, DC to San Francisco, CA and then pick right up and head to Seattle, WA before returning home to start the cycle of travel all over again. That’s the kind of barnstorming schedule Ploughshares Fund President Joe Cirincione is keeping to help highlight our efforts to address the threat of nuclear weapons.
There’s a good chance Joe is on his way to a city near you (you can check his tour schedule at nuclearnightmaresbook.com [2]). In case he’s not, or you missed his stop in your town, you can watch him on BookTV.org [3] discussing his newest book, Nuclear Nightmares [2].
More recently, Joe sat down with Eric Schlosser, author of Fast Food Nation and Command and Control, at the Commonwealth Club of California to talk about the threats of nuclear weapons and the steps we can take to reduce and ultimately eliminate those threats. The full conversation is available at commonwealthclub.org [4].
For more on Nuclear Nightmares: Securing the World Before It Is Too Late, listen to Joe on KQED’s Forum [5] and KUOW [6].
