@plough_shares meets @whitehouse

It’s not every day that you get to ask questions of the White House and expect an instant answer. Today, however, that’s exactly the opportunity that we have.

I’ve been invited to participate in the first ever Twitter Q&A themed around national security and foreign policy questions. From 4:30 to 5:30 ET today, I’ll be on Twitter with Jon Carson, Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, asking and answering national security questions that people tweet in.

I’ve been thinking about Iran lately, and how the international community has responded to the latest IAEA report. I will likely ask Jon about that as well as other pressing questions about the defense budget, nuclear weapons, and our country's involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.

If you’ve ever wondered what President Obama plans to do about foreign policy issues like these, or others that you care about like the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, cutting the nuclear budget, or preventing war with Iran, now is your chance to have us ask the question, and to tune in live to hear the answer.

Tweet questions now to @plough_shares, @joncarson44 or @joelmartinrubin to get your question in the mix.
