Don't Sink Diplomacy

North Korean expert and Ploughshares Fund grantee Joel Wit argues that America must pursue "sustained diplomatic engagement" with North Korea.  The Obama administration, he argues, has missed several changes to make progress with North Korean-US relations.  In the wake of South Korea's report claiming North Korea's culpability in the sinking of the South's Cheonan naval ship, Wit argues that attention must be paid to North Korea in order to avoid a major escalation of tensions.
