The event also featured Ben Rhodes, the Deputy National Security Advisor for President Barack Obama, and one of the leading voices in the Obama administration working for the elimination of nuclear weapons. We had the privilege of hearing him speak at Chain Reaction 2018: Leadership + Democracy in San Francisco on June 25, 2018. Speaking on his experience working on nuclear issues in the Obama Administration, his remarks prefaced our tribute to William J. Perry, the 19th US Secretary of Defense.
