Benedict, Heins and Werner join a group of concerned former officials, philanthropists, academics and public figures including Michael Douglas, former Senator Chuck Hagel, Dr. Gloria Duffy, former Congressman and Admiral Joe Sestak (D- PA) and Dr. Reza Aslan who lead and advise Ploughshares Fund, a global security foundation, as the group works towards the peace and security of a world without nuclear weapons. San Francisco – Ploughshares Fund, a global security foundation, announced today the appointment of Philip Yun as its new Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, effective October 17, 2011. Based in San Francisco, Yun will oversee the organization’s operations, financial management, fundraising and grantmaking. Washington, D.C.After 14 years of growing Ploughshares Fund’s influence and grantmaking, Executive Director Naila Bolus will leave this fall to lead another national nonprofit based in Boston.
