In honor of Chair Emeritus Roger Hale’s unwavering commitment to Ploughshares Fund and its vision to ensure that nuclear weapons can never be used again, Ploughshares Fund seeks applicants for a competitive, one-year paid position as a Roger L. Hale Fellow at Ploughshares Fund. Ploughshares Fund’s extensive network within the nuclear nonproliferation community will place the Fellow into a unique position to gain practical day-to-day experience grappling with a wide variety of nuclear weapons policy issues. The Fellow may be based in either the San Francisco or Washington, DC office of Ploughshares Fund.

Plougshshares Fund is looking for a full-time Grants & Donor Communications Manager to enhance the development team’s ability to identify and secure new sources of funding from foundations and individuals. If you love writing proposals, grant reports and donor communications, this is the position for you.

The Grants and Donor Communications Manager is responsible for writing and submitting proposals for funding to charitable foundations, corporations and individual donors. Additionally, the Grants and Donor Communications Manager will write copy for fundraising letters and individual donor communications. Salary is commensurate with experience. The Grants & Donor Communications Manager reports to the Director of Development.

Are you creative, web-savvy and interested in international policy?  Join one of the nation's leading players in national security for a substantive, year-long social media and design internship.  This internship will focus on the nuts and bolts of promoting social change online, for an issue that's constantly in the headlines.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, keeping abreast of news on arms control and other international security to support social media, events, TV interviews, articles, blogs and other publications, designing content for events and social media, assisting in management of social media channels and aiding in the daily operations of the San Francisco office of Ploughshares Fund, one of the leading U.S. grantmaking organizations solely devoted to the peace and security field.

Ploughshares Fund is seeking an intern for its San Francisco office to begin in September 2014 and work through the Fall academic year and/or through the summer months.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, supporting the grantmaking team with research tasks and database management, conducting research on arms control and international security to support Ploughshares Fund publications, assisting with social media, and aiding in the daily operations of the San Francisco office.
