Robert E. Sims

Robert Sims is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on complex criminal and civil litigation and related international matters. Prior to joining the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins LLP, he was a federal prosecutor and served in the Clinton Administration as the Senior Adviser for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs in Washington, DC, and as a delegate to the G-7 senior experts group on Transnational Organized Crime and the United Nations Crime Commission. A member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Sims is a graduate of Harvard University and Columbia University Law School.
