The United States and UK have particularly close ties, often characterized as a “special relationship.”  This relationship includes nuclear weapons development and policy.  While its arsenal is not as large as the U.S. or Russia, the UK has an important leadership role to play in the quest for a world free of nuclear weapons.   BASIC uses its transatlantic perspective and solid ties in Europe to create support among high-level policymakers in London to reinforce U.S. efforts to reduce and ultimately eliminate nuclear weapons.
