Washington, DC, September 17, 2009 – This week, the issue of nuclear non-proliferation will be propelled into the national spotlight with two historic events.  On Wednesday, September 23th, President Obama will address the United Nations General Assembly for the first time since taking office.  Following his speech, on September 24th and 25th he will preside over a meeting of the UN Security Council on arms control and non-proliferation, the first time an American President has chaired the meeting.
