Charles Ferguson addresses nuclear nonproliferation; the prevention of nuclear and radiological terrorism; and U.S. and international nuclear policies. He was scientist-in-residence at the Center for Nonproliferation Studies of the Monterey Institute of International Studies, where he co-directed a project systemically assessing prevention and response to nuclear and radiological terrorism and culminating in the publication of The Four Faces of Nuclear Terrorism. He is also the lead author of the award-winning report, Commercial Radioactive Sources, on the threat of radiological dispersal devices, and of a Special Report on Preventing Catastrophic Nuclear Terrorism.  He is currently researching and writing on nuclear energy policy in Nuclear Energy. Ferguson is an adjunct assistant professor in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and an adjunct lecturer at the Johns Hopkins University. He holds a Ph.D. in physics from Boston University.
