British-American Security Information Council
As NATO enters its seventh decade many within the alliance are questioning the relevance of nuclear weapons. This skepticism provides an opportunity to make progress in Europe, and by extension Russia, to reduce the continent’s nuclear weapons. British-American Security Information Council (BASIC) works closely with UK officials and the broader European security community to build a strong constituency for nuclear reductions and eventual elimination within the Europe and NATO. BASIC also provides a useful linkage between London and Washington on issues of mutual concern between these two key nuclear nations.
